What is SandboxMusicals?

SandboxMusicals is a new organization based in New York, NY that is dedicated to the development and growth of musical theatre through experimentation and play.

Mission Statement

SandboxMusicals’ mission is to stretch and develop musical theatre as an art form by exploring and supporting artists who engage in both traditional and non-traditional creative processes. We believe in the spirit of experimentation and play as a means of creation, and believe it is important to question convention and search for what musical theatre can be.

Our Future Plans

We’ve started to create an International Musical Theatre & Opera Directory and a monthly Playspace workshop in NYC. Once these start, we have plans to start more developmental programs, early stage readings, training course opportunities and much more! Stay tuned!
